Hello, fam. How are you doing? Welcome to last Monday, and the final day of the first half of the year. Isnโt it incredible how quickly time flies?
First, I want to say a heartfelt thank you for journeying with me through this beautiful series, Debunking Fear.
Today, we wrap it up. It’s been an amazing ride, and Iโm truly grateful for your presence, your feedback, and your courage to walk this path of growth and truth.
As we close out June, letโs enter the final phase of this series with boldness, knowing that fear no longer holds power over us. Today, weโre exploring a phrase that carries profound weight: โStaring into the Abyss.โ
This phrase captures those quiet moments of reckoning, the stillness when lifeโs deepest questions arise:
Why am I here?
Does this matter?
What happens when it all ends? Am I making a difference? What is the point of all this?

The โabyssโ doesnโt necessarily mean despair, it means depth. And when we confront it, we often find our most authentic answers.
Today, we stare into the abyss and dismantle the fear of meaninglessness, mortality, and lifeโs big questions.
These moments rarely arrive with noise or warning. They show up uninvited, in the stillness; mid-sentence, mid-scroll, mid-life, and suddenly, we feel the weight of existence pressing in.
Progress seems paused. Effort feels unrewarded. Everything is still. And just then, the questions begin to echo: What is the point of all this?
Am I really living, or just existing?
Does any of this even matter?
What happens when I die?
Have I wasted my time?
These arenโt the loud, surface-level fears of everyday life. These are soul-deep questions; ones we often avoid, not because we donโt care, but because we care so much. We fear the unknown places they might lead us.
But maybe weโve misunderstood the abyss. Maybe itโs not a pit of despairโฆ maybe itโs a canvas, waiting for the stroke of your truth.
The abyss doesn’t give us answers. It simply invites us to ask better questions ones that awaken something sacred within us. The fear of meaninglessness isnโt a flaw, itโs a signal. Itโs your soul trying to come alive.
Meaning isnโt something we stumble upon, itโs something we create by the way we choose to live. Yes, the abyss is real and Yes, the big questions can be intimidating. But facing them doesnโt make you weak, it makes you honest.
So be brave. Be radically honest with yourself. Choose to search for what gives your life meaning. That journey begins with knowing who you are, and staying rooted in who God has created you to be.
Keep learning. Keep seeking. Ask questions. Connect with people whoโve walked this road before. Their stories can guide you as you find your own path.
The critical step is this: Donโt look away. Then, when youโve stared long enough into that depth, turn back to your life with fresh vision and renewed courage, knowing you’re never alone.
You are designed by God, and He has promised never to leave you. He’s always there, closer than you can ever imagine. Guiding you all the way.
You donโt find meaning despite the abyss, you find it because of it. The darkness highlights the light you choose to create. The silence amplifies the song you decide to sing.
So if you must stare into the abyss, do it. Feel the chill. Acknowledge the vastness. Then, take a deep breath, plant your feet firmly on the ground, and build your fire.
Nurture your relationships. Pursue your passion. Create something beautiful. Be kind. Laugh deeply. Help others build their fire, too.
The world may seem indifferent. But you care, and thatโs where meaning, purpose, and your radiant, defiant light begin.
The abyss isnโt here to swallow you. Itโs the backdrop where your unique, irreplaceable spark shines brightest. Now go, light it up.
You donโt need a grand destiny to live a meaningful life. You donโt have to escape the unknown to make peace with it. You donโt need to conquer the abyss. You just need to stand in the reality of who you are.
And maybe, just maybe, the abyss isnโt empty after all. Maybe itโs filled with quiet truths. Maybe itโs where your truest self begins to speak. Maybe itโs where you remember who you really are.
So this week, donโt run from the big questions. Sit with them. Stare into the abyss and dare to speak your truth into it.
You are not meaningless. You are not forgotten. You are not random. You are here and that means something profound, it makes so much meaning.
You are love. You are light. You are the solution your generation has long waited for. Shine your light, enough of hiding around.
Fear has no grip on you. Itโs a weapon of darkness and youโve been armed to overcome it. The Spirit God gave you is not one of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
So stop hiding your light. Donโt bury your potential. Use your gifts; fully, freely, and fearlessly for all that God has ordained them to become.
You are not just anybody. You are an extraordinary human being and the world is blessed to have you in it.
You are not your fear. You are not your doubts. You are not the lies whispered to your soul. You are who God says you are.
Confronting the fear of meaninglessness, mortality, and lifeโs big questions will help you live more authentically and with deeper purpose.
The abyss may be daunting, but it is also a gateway to profound growth, discovery, and strength!
