IN PURSUIT OF MEANING

IN PURSUIT OF MEANING

Hello, dear tribe member.

Iโ€™m so glad youโ€™re enjoying this journey. Over the past few weeks, weโ€™ve built something meaningful together, and Iโ€™m grateful that every part of it has blessed you.ย
Now, as we close out the August series, letโ€™s move forward with a final reflection that sums up what the coming month is all about.
By the way; have you registered for #The_Purpose_Reset yet? If you havenโ€™t, make sure you do that right away. Itโ€™s a virtual experience you wonโ€™t want to miss.ย
Letโ€™s get into todayโ€™s reflection. We’ve been beholding all along, now let’s behold purpose.ย  โ€œPurpose is not a destination. Itโ€™s the quiet faithfulness to whatโ€™s in your hands today.โ€ย
That question quietly rings in our hearts often: “Am I really living with purpose?โ€ or โ€œAm I fulfilling my purpose?โ€ Purpose is not always loud. Sometimes, itโ€™s the quiet faithfulness of showing up, even when no one is watching.

We scroll through curated success stories and hear people describe โ€œfinding their callingโ€ like itโ€™s a single lightning-bolt moment. And somewhere along the way, we begin to feel the pressure to define, achieve, and measure purpose like itโ€™s a product we must prove.ย
But hereโ€™s the truth: purpose isnโ€™t something you chase down or figure out once and for all. It is revealed; moment by moment, season by season, as life unfolds.ย
There are times when purpose feels unclear. Iโ€™ve walked through seasons where I questioned everything:

  • Is what Iโ€™m doing really making an impact?
  • Should I be doing more?
  • Am I missing what Iโ€™m really meant for?ย

For a long time, I believed purpose had to feel loud, like fireworks, or that it had to come with constant clarity. But over time, Iโ€™ve learned: purpose is often quiet. Itโ€™s revealed in the small, faithful things.ย
The more faithful you are in one aspect of your purpose, the more is entrusted to you. And with each step, the path becomes brighter and clearer.ย

Purpose is revealed in showing up when no one is clapping. Conversations that shift someoneโ€™s heart, even if only one person. Staying true to your voice, even when it isnโ€™t trendy.

This month, weโ€™ve learned what it means to behold:

  • Week 1: We beheld ourselves; our becoming, our process, our presence.
  • Week 2: We turned our gaze outward, learning to behold others with compassion and clarity.
  • Week 3: We beheld time. not as pressure, but as a partner.
  • Week 4 (now): The crowning reflection; We are Beholding Purpose.ย

Because what good is growth, connection, or time, if we donโ€™t know why weโ€™re here?
In all honesty, the word purpose can feel heavy.ย
It sounds grand. Strategic. Glorious. We imagine world-changing impact, a five-point plan, a polished brand, or a legacy of perfect clarity.ย

But most days? Purpose looks like faithful obscurity.

  • Writing the blog post that only 10 people read, but one of them needed it deeply.
  • Staying present in a conversation when your to-do list is full.
  • Speaking up for what matters when silence would be easier.
  • Choosing alignment over applause.ย

Purpose isnโ€™t always in the spotlight. Often, itโ€™s in the shadows of consistency, walking closely with God to know what He would have you do.ย
I remember a season in my life when purpose feels small, years ago, when I almost stopped blogging. I felt unseen. Numbers were low. Engagement dipped. I doubted myself. I questioned whether I was even meant to do this.ย
But one day, I received a quiet message from someone I didnโ€™t know:

โ€œYour last post helped me come back to myself. I didnโ€™t even know I was lost.โ€ย
I cried reading the message not because of the praise, but because I realized: what feels small to you can be life-changing for someone else.ย
In my early years, I thought purpose was tied to numbers, reach, recognition. But I see it differently now. Purpose is not in how many, but in how deeply. Sometimes, itโ€™s a single message reaching the right soul at the right time.ย
Purpose isnโ€™t always a booming voice. Sometimes, itโ€™s a soft whisper reminding you: what you do matters, even when it doesnโ€™t look like it.ย

There are few certain ways that I’ve learnt to behold purpose.ย

  • Look Backward with Gratitude. Clarity often comes in hindsight. Where did you feel most alive? Where did you serve best? Where were you most aligned?ย
  • Let Go of Comparison. Someone elseโ€™s purpose may be louder, but that doesnโ€™t make it deeper. Be faithful with what God entrusted to you, without being carried away by someone elseโ€™s journey.ย
  • Honor Your Current Assignment. You donโ€™t have to love every task for it to be part of your calling. Sometimes, obedience itself is purpose.ย

Purpose isnโ€™t static, it unfolds. What felt like โ€œthe dreamโ€ six years ago may shift today, and thatโ€™s not failure. Itโ€™s growth.ย
Your gift will make room for you, but first, honor the room youโ€™re already in. Donโ€™t wait for the โ€œperfect opportunity.โ€ Start where you are, with what you have.ย

I have a few Reflection Questions for You.

  • What act of quiet obedience have I dismissed because it didnโ€™t look โ€œbig enoughโ€?
  • How has my understanding of purpose shifted over time?
  • How have I been faithful this month, and what fruit has come from it?
  • What do I need to release to make space for purpose to unfold?ย

Purpose is sometimes inconvenient. It will ask for vulnerability when you feel tired. It will pull you deeper when youโ€™d rather stay safe. It will stretch you more than you think you can handle.ย
But it will also light you up in ways comfort never could. It will shape you into who youโ€™re meant to be, if you choose obedience. So live intentionally. Live out your God-given purpose.ย
Start where you are. Donโ€™t wait for perfect timing. Start with whatโ€™s in your hand. Often, clarity comes from doing, not just thinking.ย
Use your voice, even if it trembles. Write the post. Share the story. Offer encouragement. Lend a helping hand. Someone needs what you carry.ย
Pause and celebrate the fruit. Think about every kind comment, every breakthrough message, every quiet moment of peace in someoneโ€™s heart because of your faithfulness. That is purpose. That is legacy.ย
If youโ€™ve walked through this series with me, thank you. You havenโ€™t just read, youโ€™ve reflected. You havenโ€™t just followed, youโ€™ve beheld.ย
Youโ€™ve reminded me that this space, this calling, this writing, is not in vain. Your purpose may not come with fanfare. But it comes with fruit.ย
And fruit that grows slowly is often the sweetest. So, donโ€™t despise small beginnings. Donโ€™t delay purpose waiting for a platform. You are already walking in it.ย
As the August Series: Beholding comes to a close, just continue to behold: Yourself. Others. Time. Purpose.ย
Not because life gets quieter, but because you have learned to slow down and see.

Thank you for walking this journey with me. See you in September, with purpose still in hand.ย
Share what blessed you from todayโ€™s reflection in the comments. Iโ€™d love to hear your thoughts. And donโ€™t forget to share this with a friend who needs it.ย

What are your thoughts on Ariaโ€™s journey? Can you see yourself in her story?

Which part of the year did you push so hardโ€ฆbut never gave yourself the credit you deserved?

Is there a moment from 2025 that, when you look back, could help shape your 2026 perspective?

Letโ€™s sit with that for a moment.

I want to hear from you:
At what point in Ariaโ€™s story did you see yourself most clearly?

What lesson from her journey feels personal to you, the one you know you need to work on?

And, if weโ€™re honest, what mistake of Ariaโ€™s are you still repeating and ready to confront?

Or does someone comes to mind as you read this? Donโ€™t forget to share the link to this post with them as a reminder.

Share your thoughts in the comments.
Letโ€™s reflect together.
Letโ€™s learn together.
And letโ€™s step into the new year stronger than before.

See you again next week.
