Hello, dear friend!
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to June! I trust you are thriving and embracing the opportunities this new month brings. Happy New Month! May your joy overflow throughout June.
As I reflect on how to serve you better this month, I realize that fear is a significant challenge many people face. This month, I invite you to join me in debunking every form of fear that permeates our lives.
This is not just a topic of interest; it is a catalyst for transformation. Welcome to Week 1 of our deep dive into this compelling subject. Together, we will explore how to navigate a world filled with diverse fears.
Fear manifests differently for each individual, but regardless of its form, we will confront and dismantle it together.
From the very beginning of our existence, we are wired with a primal fear: the fear of survival and security. In our early years, there is a blissful period when we are shielded from these concerns.

We simply sleep, wake up, and enjoy life, knowing that our needs are met by a parent, guardian, or sponsor.
However, as we transition into adulthood, reality often hits us hard. We face restless days and sleepless nights, grappling with the complexities of survival and the myriad obligations that come with it.
This month, letโs embark on a journey to confront these fears head-on. By the end of this series, I am confident you will have the tools and insights needed to take the right steps forward.
Do you know that feeling? The icy grip in your stomach when you glance at your bank balance and see itโs alarmingly low? The unsettling uncertainty that creeps in: What if this money runs out? Who can I turn to for help? What should I do next?
Imagine the sudden jolt of adrenaline as your mind races through worst-case scenarios. These thoughts are all too real, and the gnawing worry that you might not have enough, whether itโs money, food, safety, or stability can be overwhelming.
Then thereโs that hyper-alertness, constantly scanning for potential threats; physically, emotionally, or even in your career. All of these feelings are echoes of what I call the Primal Panic.
Itโs the relentless software running in the background, a constant low-level hum of โWhat if?โ We pile on fears about situations and circumstances that may never even materialize.
Yet, we find ourselves paralyzed by anxiety over things that might never happen. The fear of lack and scarcity can be suffocating.
Consider the anxiety surrounding finances, job security, retirement, time, opportunities, and even love or approval. The nagging questions loom large: Will you be enough? Will they see your worth?
And letโs not forget the fear of harm. Many people worry about their physical safety; walking alone, accidents, health scares, as well as emotional pain like rejection and betrayal.
They wake up each day burdened by these fears, even when nothing has happened. The worry and anxiety can feel insurmountable, leaving them scared and unsure of how to cope.
You canโt blame them; fear is a formidable adversary. It operates like a demonic force, fueled by negativity, seeking every opportunity to infiltrate our minds. Once it takes hold, the victim is left with a constant sense of dread, always worrying about what might go wrong.
Fear is not something to be taken lightly. It is a battle of the mind that demands your unwavering resolve. You donโt succumb to fear; you conquer it.
Many individuals grapple with the specter of professional failure or existential threats. They wake up each day consumed by the question: “Is something bad going to happen?”
I understand the urgency of confronting these intrusive thoughts. It is crucial to debunk and dismiss them immediately, especially when they do not serve your well-being.
Being discerning and spiritually alert is essential to recognize when negativity attempts to ensnare you with thoughts that contradict your true purpose and Godโs will for your life.
Primal panic can drag you into a terrifying future or a past filled with lack. Anchor yourself in the present. You must prepare for days when fear feels overwhelming; you must know the words to speak to every situation.
Embrace the abundance mindset and actively counter thoughts of scarcity. See yourself rising above the limitations that currently surround you. You have the power to shape your reality, seize it.
Instead of succumbing to the belief that “I’ll never have enough,” shift your perspective to “I have enough for today.” From this foundation, cultivate an expectation for more good things to come your way while actively seeking additional means of progressing.
Be realistic, naivety has no place in your journey. When circumstances call for financial prudence, take the necessary precautions. Lock your doors, eliminate fear, and prioritize your safety.
Choose peace and place your complete trust in God. Have faith in your ability to navigate challenges, believe that support is always within reach, and recognize that not every unknown poses a threat. This mindset strengthens your inner security.
Remember, while your primal instincts are powerful, they are not your master. They serve as an outdated, sometimes overly zealous protector. You hold the reins of your life, refuse to be governed by primal panic.
Assess the true level of any threat you face. Confront it, address it, and consciously choose your response. This week, become a detective of your own fears. Stay alert, remain vigilant, and send every fear packing.
Youโve got this! Remember, itโs about progress, not perfection. Each step you take makes that panic room in your mind a little less cramped.
Having tackled the deep, primal fears of survival, are you ready to explore the fears that govern our social lives? Next week, weโll dive into “Relational Fears & Belonging Needs.” Stay tuned!
