Hey fam,
Welcome to Week 2 of our Becoming Journey. I’m honestly so hyped by the feedback from last week, thank you!
Iโm glad weโre doing this together. It’s like weโre building something brick by brick, and this week, weโre laying Block 2. Letโs get right into it.
Our focus this week? That’s Progress.
Yup, just like that popular saying: weโre all a work in progress.
The whole point of this weekโs message is to reassure you that those confusing, quiet, in-between seasons of your life? Theyโre not failures. Youโre not lost. Youโre rebuilding.
And yeah, it can feel overwhelming, but these seasons are necessary. They’re the silent parts of becoming, the parts most people avoid because of how demanding they are.
If you asked me where I am in life right now, Iโd probably hold up a sign that says: “UNDER CONSTRUCTION.” Or “IN PROGRESS”. Thatโs my current phase.

Not finished. Not polished. Not perfect. But still building. Still breaking. Still becoming. Sometimes falling, yet rising again.
Even when it doesnโt look like it. Even when it doesnโt feel like it. Because real becoming doesn’t always look like progress.
Sometimes it looks like stillness. Sometimes it feels like going backwards. Sometimes it feels like the effort isnโt adding up at all.
Sometimes it means letting go of dreams, titles, relationships that once made sense, and sitting in the discomfort of whatโs next, even when it’s unclear.
That little effort of yours? That tiny step toward purpose? Even when it feels like failure, itโs not. Its construction. Youโre in progress. ๐ฅ
And you know what construction looks like? A whole lot!ย Walls come down before new ones go up. The blueprint often makes zero sense to outsiders.
The old structure has to be gutted before the new one can carry weight. Things sometimes get worse before they get better. Sound familiar? Thatโs becoming.
You donโt need to have it all figured out. You donโt owe anyone an explanation for your transition. You donโt need to rush your rebuild just to make others feel comfortable.
You’re allowed to be a work in progress. You’re allowed to take your time. Youโre allowed to be under construction and still be whole.
So if youโre in a quiet, messy, or hidden season, stop calling it a setback. Youโre in your season of becoming. You’re being made. Youโre making progress.
Itโs not a breakdown, itโs a rebuild. Growth sometimes looks like confusion. But youโre not behind, youโre becoming. Let it take the time it needs.
Youโre still allowed to be proud of yourself right here. This in-between version of you, the one who doesnโt have it all figured out, who feels scattered, uncertain, or slow? Thatโs not a failure.
Thatโs you becoming. Quietly. Daily. Growth doesnโt always come with fireworks. Sometimes it looks like silence. Stillness. Even survival. But donโt confuse that with being stuck.
Youโre being rebuilt. Reshaped. Rewired. So give yourself grace in the mess. Youโre not done, youโre in progress.
Weโve got to normalize the in-between seasons. Itโs not wasted space, itโs sacred ground. Something is being formed in you, even if it doesnโt show yet.
You are fully in progress, and thatโs more than okay. Truth is, most of us are. But weโre never really taught how to be okay with it.
Weโre told to arrive. To show the โafter.โ To look like a finished product; neat, clean, symmetrical. But becoming? Itโs none of that.
Growth happens in layers. In pieces. In moments when you’re questioning everything but still choosing to keep going.
Sometimes becoming means pulling apart who you once were. Sometimes itโs breaking down walls that used to protect you, but now just trap you.
Sometimes itโs looking in the mirror and not recognizing yourself, and learning to be okay with that, too. Becoming is soul work. A mind work.
Construction work on the core of who you are. And guess what? Most people wonโt get it. Theyโll ask why youโre not โthereโ yet.
Why have you changed?
Why are you quieter?
Why are you letting go of things that they think define you?
But youโll know. Youโll feel it in your gut, in your tired bones, in your spirit thatโs done with the shallow. They might not understand, and they donโt need to.
This is your journey. You’re not breaking down. You’re being rebuilt. You donโt need to make it make sense to everyone.
Keep your eyes on what youโre building. Youโre tearing out what no longer fits. Laying new foundations where you once only knew survival. Now? Youโre stepping into thriving.
You’re reinforcing strength where you used to shrink. And guess what? You’re shrinking no more. Itโs your time to flourish, loudly and fully.
And hereโs the wild part: You might not even see the transformation happening right now. Thatโs okay. None of us really do when weโre in it. So take the time you need.
Youโre not in competition. Youโre not trying to become them. Youโre just working on becoming you. And one day, youโll look back and say: โIโm not who I was.โ
Not because you failed, but because you evolved. Into the version of you that youโve always wanted to be.
So if youโre:
- Feeling slow
- Feeling lost
- Feeling like nothing makes sense right now:ย Just remember: Youโre not behind. Youโre becoming.
Slowly. Boldly. Silently.
You are a masterpiece in progress, and thatโs a powerful place to be.
Donโt rush it.
Donโt hide it.
Donโt apologize for it.
Even the strongest people you know have had seasons where it felt like nothing was happening, but everything was being built. You deserve that same grace. Give yourself that permission to become.
Here are a few reflection questions for your week:
- Where in your life do you feel โunder constructionโ?
- What part of your becoming are you learning to trust right now?
- What would change if you permitted yourself to just be in progress?
Take these into your week. Let them guide your thoughts, your actions, your healing. I really hope this blesses you as you grow through this season.
Iโd love to hear your thoughts, insights, and takeaways in the comments. Iโll be there reading and responding.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Catch yโall again next week ๐ซ
Have a productive and purposeful week ahead. Cheers!
ย
With love,
