Hello, Dear Tribe Member,
Iโm elated to welcome you to this space and into a truly special moment in The Eyistar Blogโs journey. Happy New Month!ย
Welcome to August, may good things overflow in your direction this season. Cheers to growth, joy, and fresh beginnings.ย
When July began, we explored the theme of โBecoming.โ We talked about growth, transformation, and the bravery it takes to evolve.
But now, stepping into August and continuing through the second half of the year, I feel drawn to something quieter, and something deeper.

August is more than just another month to me. It marks the anniversary of The Eyistar Blog, a space born from obedience and a whisper of purpose. What started as a simple act of faith has become a home for thoughts, stories, and souls like yours.ย
So, it feels beautifully aligned that this monthโs theme is โBeholding.โ Weโre not just doing, weโre seeing. Not just evolving, but witnessing whatโs shifted. This is the next step from what we began in July.ย
What Does It Mean to Behold?
To behold is to look with intention, with depth, and with reverence. Itโs not passive watching, itโs active seeing. Thatโs been my story.ย
When I first started writing, I wasnโt sure anyone would read my words. I wrote through self-doubt and fear. I questioned whether my voice mattered. But I showed up anyway. I kept becoming.ย Now, years later, I realize I need to do something different: not just chase the next milestone, but pause and behold who Iโve become.ย
I behold the courage it took to start when no one was watching. I behold the consistency it took to write in quiet seasons.ย
I behold the clarity Iโve gained about my voice, my path, and my purpose. I behold the moments I nearly quit, but didnโt.
Iโm not the same person who began this journey.ย
Iโve grown, and with growth comes lessons Iโd love to share with you in celebration of this blogโs anniversary.
Ways Iโve Grown Through the Years
- I Stopped Waiting to โFeel Ready.
My first post wasnโt perfect, but it was honest. And thatโs what people connected to. I was stunned by the responses I received.
I didnโt expect them, but they affirmed that impact doesnโt require perfection, it just requires showing up and that was the summary of the feedback from my first post.ย - I Embraced Writing as a Journey, Not a Destination.
There were weeks I doubted every word, and weeks when writing felt like fire in my bones. Both seasons taught me this: my words arenโt just about me, they’re about who they reach. Even when I felt unsure, others found clarity in what I shared.ย - I Learned to Write for One Person.
Not every post is meant for the masses. Sometimes, it’s for one person. And when that person finds healing, insight, or hope, thatโs enough. Focus on the impact, not the applause.ย - I Welcomed Feedback, Just as It Came.
Growth began when I stopped guarding my words and started growing from what others shared. Some posts with few likes led to the most profound messages. People quietly found meaning, even if they didnโt โengageโ publicly.ย - I Became My Own Reader.
I always ask myself: Would I want to read this? Does this reflect my heart, my values, and my voice? If yes, itโs ready. I write for my audience with the same care I write for myself.ย
Now Letโs Talk About You.
This week, I invite you to do something gentle but powerful: Behold yourself. Not your to-do list. Not your flaws. Not your unfinished goals. Justโฆ you.
Who were you at the start of the year? Who are you now? What would change if you actually saw the growth in you?ย
Too often, we focus on whatโs not working, without realizing how much weโve already transformed. Many of the things you once prayed for are now your reality, but youโve been too focused on the next goal to notice.ย
Pause.
Look again.
Youโre not the person you were two or three years ago. Youโve evolved, but you wonโt recognize it until you behold it. When you do, youโll realize how much you have to be thankful for.
โYou Canโt Become What You Canโt Behold.โ July taught us to stretch, grow, and step into new versions of ourselves. But can you behold who youโre becoming?ย
We often rush into the next version of ourselves without ever seeing who we are now. We track progress but rarely honor the person behind the progress.ย
We perform. We produce. We perfect.
But do we see?
Not the polished version.
Not the overachiever.
But the real, becoming you.ย
This Week, Iโm Choosing to Behold Myself. To sit with who I am, without trying to impress anyone. To recognize my strength without performing.
To see the slow, subtle shifts, the hard-won peace.ย
To honor the journey of the past six years. And hereโs what Iโve learned: When you behold yourself with compassion, you stop competing for validation.ย
You should stop comparing. Stop hiding behind perfectionism. You should unlock the courage to keep becoming.ย
This month, pause.
Look again.
See deeper.
Start with you.ย
Youโre more than your goals. Youโre the ground where your goals are rooted. You matter! So much will change when you begin to behold yourself.ย
โYou canโt become what you canโt behold.โ
Start this month not with hustle, but with honest seeing. See yourself through the right lens, and then others will too.ย
To everyone whoโs been part of this journey: thank you!ย If this is your first time here, welcome. This space exists because I chose to become, and then learned to behold. But it thrives because you keep showing up.ย
ย
Hereโs to another year of writing, reflecting, and becoming. Happy Blog Anniversary (in advance) to us!ย
Letโs keep beholding until we fully become who weโre meant to be.ย
ย
Welcome to August.
Welcome to Beholding.ย
ย
Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments and send this post to someone you care about. Thank you for being here.
Iโll see you again next week.ย
